The CITB Health and Safety Awareness Course is an industry recognised course providing delegates the first building block towards their Green CSCS Card. In conjunction with the Touch Screen test this qualification allows you to apply for your card.

Overview: This one day course is designed for Construction Workers and persons who are, or are about to be, applying for their first CSCS Card.
This course covers all relevant legislation and other aspects which affect safe working in the building, construction and civil engineering industries. It highlights the need for risk assessment in the workplace, the implementation of the necessary control measures and adequate communication to sustain a Health & Safety culture among the workforce.
The course aims to help Delegates to:
Practice Health & Safety on-site in accordance with current legal provisions and within the context of their management or supervisory role.
- Develop an understanding of responsibilities and accountability for site health, safety and welfare.
- Recognise a safe site is efficient, economical and productive.
Delegates must attend all days and all sessions. On successful completion of the course the delegates are awarded the Construction Skills Site Safety Plus Certificate as an electronic PDF.
NB: Delegates will require a good internet connection and access to a second screen if possible, course is delivered via Zoom or Teams.
